PART-TIME CONTRACT: EVENT CO-ORDINATOR / EVENT MANAGER

We create, promote and manage unique experiences that form meaningful connections with our clients and their audiences and strengthen those relationships through lasting impactful moments. We work with a variety of clients including promoters and event managers, to regional councils developing event-based tourism marketing. Events that we work across include Laneway Festival, CMC Rocks Qld, Elton John Farewell tour as well as consulting to various private and government bodies on event strategies and opportunities.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Uncommon Cord is looking for a pro-active and experienced event manager to work with us part-time across a number of exciting events and projects. This is an opportunity to make the role your own. This would be a commitment of 3 days per week ongoing and based in our Lilyfield office (free and unlimited parking!). We work in a fun, fast-paced environment across a variety of events including music festivals, conferences and concert tours.
The role will primarily include event development and planning, event administration and research. It will also include working closely with our clients to deliver their events and bring the best to their audiences. We are a small team, but we work with some of the best people in the business and we love what we do!
To be a suitable applicant, you will have the below required experience:
At least 3 years’ experience working in live events.
You will have excellent written and verbal skills, a solid work ethic, attention to detail and work well in a team.
You’ll have the highest respect for confidentiality and professionalism.
You’ll have a hands-on understanding of event sites and their various departments, as well as involvement across both the operational side and the budget side.
You’ll have experience liaising with clients and event stakeholders including council, medical, security and police.
An excellent ability to multi-task, adapt to shifting priorities and deadlines.
Preferred but not required:
Relevant tertiary qualifications are preferred but not required.
Experience working in concert tours, music festivals, production or AV.
